Mr Steve Boulton

Biography

Steve Boulton was appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Hastings in September 2007. Hastings manages a number of infrastructure and debt funds in both the unlisted and listed markets in Australia with approx $7billion of funds under management. Prior to this role, Steve held a number of Chief Executive roles in the infrastructure/utility sector with entities listed on both the ASX and NZX. Assets owned by these entities were spread globally across three continents. Steve was Chairman/Director of each of the major fund investments in the broad portfolio which included electricity and gas transmission and distribution, seaports, power generation and rail networks. In these CEO roles Steve grew the assets under management and business operations by leading a range of mergers and acquisition transactions with exposure to both equity and debt capital markets.  Steve has also held a range of executive and management positions in the infrastructure sector including roles in ENERGEX and Shell Coal. He has management experience in listed, unlisted and public utilities through his 30 year career. Steve holds a Bachelor of Business and a Masters of Technology Management and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
