Mr David Jurd

Biography

David Jurd is Managing Director of Abigroup and has 25 years experience in construction projects and businesses, in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Since joining Abigroup in 1991, David’s career has included such successful projects as Sydney M2 Motorway, the $1.6 billion M7 Motorway, and the Gateway Bridge duplication in Brisbane. He has worked across all procurement and delivery models, was appointed to the Abigroup Limited board in 2006 and appointed Managing Director in early 2009.

With David as Managing Director, Abigroup has continued its diversification into the mining, water, rail, telecommunications and energy markets and developed a forward order book to record levels.

David combines a solid background in construction with a genuine understanding of sustainability and diversity.

David is also a member of the Board of the Australian Constructors Association.
