Mr Charles Mott

Biography

Charles Mott is Chief Executive Officer of Bilfinger Berger Project Investments Pty Ltd, a specialist sponsor, investor and manager of Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects.

Charles has been involved in the Australian PPP sector since its inception. His experience spans the sale in 1993 by the Queensland Government of Gladstone Power Station, privatisation of the Victorian power industry, the development of Melbourne’s Docklands Stadium, PPP delivery of 11 water filtratation plants and private hospitals in South Australia, toll road projects such as Cross City Tunnel and CLEM7, and in recent years, Ararat Prison and the Peninsula Link motorway in Victoria.

Charles is a long serving Director of Victorian Correctional Infrastructure Partnership Pty Ltd and Melbourne’s Royal Womens Hospital, having served through the delivery and transition phases of the projects to today’s steady-state operating enterprises. He also represents BBPI on the boards of Aegis, Southern Way and Sentinel, the project companies currently delivering Ararat Prison, Penisula Link motorway and Northern Territory Secure Facilities PPP.

Prior to his current role, Charles spent two years as Chief Financial Officer of Transfield Services Infrastrucutre Fund, an investor in a range of infrastructure assets in the thermal power, renewable power and water treatment sectors.

Charles has spent over 14 years in the Bilfinger Berger Group and held a number of senior financial positions including Chief Financial Officer and Group Commercial Director of Baulderstone.
